First National Bank

Located in historical downtown Palm Beach, the bank is the oldest bank and is a registered historical landmark. The client wanted to blend the restoration and reconfigure the offices to add five new offices yet maintain the existing historical elements of the bank building. Using the magnificent ceiling and woodwork as the inspiration, the Song + Associates design team designed a plan that updated the floor plan to new banking operation’s needs. Choosing a prefabricated work system that matched the existing woodwork and furniture, it is impossible to tell the new from the old after installation. Permits for construction were obtained in one week. Fast track schedule was completed without interrupting normal branch operation, working on eight consecutive weekends.
