Port St. Lucie Civic Center/Garage/Plaza

Song+Associates has been selected to design the Port St. Lucie Civic Center, the springboard project for the new City Center. This urban center, street lined with fountains, shops, cafes, and apartments, will lead to the new 100,000 SF public facility. Public meetings to determine the building purposes were part of Song + Associates’ scope and a charette meeting was held to determine building programs. Based on public input and a needs study, amenities will include: a banquet hall with commercial kitchen; multi-purpose room; gymnasium; fitness center; racquetball courts; meeting rooms; gallery; pre-school room; and an indoor cafe. The new Civic Center will be located lakeside. An outdoor patio with a seating area and gazebo will overlook the lake. The Civic Center, which will be located in the heart of east Port St. Lucie, will also have an interactive fountain in the front.
