Island Coast High School

Designed specifically for the School District of Lee County, this three-story new compact prototype emphasizes student safety and security created under a single structure, organized around curriculum-based learning environments. Stacked, the corridors can be monitored from two points, maximizing efficiency in monitoring a core capacity of 2,000 students. Density and limited points of access provide the ability to localize student flow in addition to promoting community interaction through after-hours programs in predetermined areas. Community interaction is further emphasized by utilizing off-site amenities.
