This 18,000 SF medical services facility was developed to meet the clinical services for the increasing needs of Ft. Pierce and the surrounding areas. Situated on a 2-acre site, the design goal was to create a facility that was user friendly and easily accessible.
A covered drop-off area serves as the main entry and is especially beneficial to ambulatory patients or during inclement weather. The staff parking and visitor parking are separated to alleviate congestion and a separate CPT and EIP entrance are located at the northern wing to simplify access by those patients.
The architectural style was to create a warm residential feeling utilizing gabled metal roofs with large overhangs, French style doors and a clean exterior façade of stucco bands to harmonize with the surrounding architectural character of the community.
The axial design of this 1½-story building provides a central link between functions and an economy of circulation while allowing for the maximum number of spaces to benefit from the natural light of exterior windows.
